The journey
Baithak Foundation has done some impressive work in sensitising young people to Indian classical music. Their desire to share stories of inspiring musicians led to this collaboration. As we delved into the life of Pt. Firoz Dastur, and listened to anecdotes shared by his senior disciples, we were moved and inspired by this star of Hindustani music.
The book includes a selection of Dastur Ji’s songs and interviews, made available through QR codes to give readers an immersive experience. It was presented on 22nd September 2019, at Shat Pranam, a concert n honour of Dastur ji’s centenary year in the presence of his senior disciples. It was released at the Sawai Gandharva Mahotsav 2019.
